Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This page explains what data Clash Chinese Guide (clashj.com, "this site") processes when you browse its pages, how that data is handled, and what control you have over it. This policy applies only to this site itself, not to any third-party client software listed here — how each client handles data on your device is governed by that project's own documentation and privacy notices.
1. Nature of the Site and Scope of Data Collection
This site is a purely static documentation and download directory. It offers no account registration, login, comments, or email subscriptions, and no page contains a form that requires submitting personal information. This site does not actively collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
As with any web service, when a browser requests a page from this site's server, the server records basic access logs following standard industry practice, limited to the requesting IP address, the requested page path, the request time, and the browser's User-Agent. These logs are used only for operational troubleshooting and abuse prevention, are automatically rotated and cleared on a regular cycle, are never linked to any identity information, and are never used to build personal profiles.
2. Presence and Purpose of Visit Analytics
This site runs a self-hosted analytics script, loaded from this site's own domain, that collects aggregate-level information such as page views, referral channels, device type, and browser type. The sole purpose of this collection is to understand how each documentation page is being read, so that we can identify which tutorials need expanding and which troubleshooting sections are used most often, in order to improve content organization.
Analytics data is stored in aggregate form on a self-hosted service. It is never sold, never shared with any third party, never used for advertising, and never used for cross-site tracking. If your browser has a content-blocking extension that blocks the analytics script, every page and download feature on this site will continue to work normally and will not be affected in any way.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
The core functionality of this site's own pages does not rely on cookies. The analytics script may set a small first-party cookie used to distinguish repeat visits within aggregate statistics; it has a limited lifetime and contains no personally identifiable information.
Some pages use the browser's localStorage to record purely interface-level state, such as whether the end-of-article download prompt has already been shown during the current visit, to avoid showing it repeatedly. This data is stored only on your own device and is never uploaded to any server. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings will fully remove the cookies and local storage entries described above.
4. Third-Party Links and Download Files
Each client listed on this site's download pages is maintained independently by its own open-source project or developer. Some download buttons link to external destinations, such as an App Store listing or a client's official website. Once you click an external link and leave this site, any further data handling is governed by the privacy policy of that destination site or platform; this site has no control over it and bears no responsibility for its content or behavior.
We recommend always obtaining installers through the channels listed on this site's download pages or through a client's official channels, and verifying that a file comes from a trustworthy source before installing. This site makes no guarantees regarding installers distributed independently by any third-party site.
5. How This Policy Is Updated
This policy may be updated as site features or analytics methods change. Updated versions will be published directly on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top revised accordingly; individual notifications will not be sent. In the event of a material change (such as adding a new category of data collection), a clear notice will be placed at the top of this page describing the change. Continuing to use this site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
6. Feedback
This site does not provide a public email address or real-time contact channel. If you have questions about the terms of this policy or how this site handles data, you can first check the notes related to local client data in the documentation and troubleshooting pages; for questions about how a specific client handles data on its own, please refer to that client project's official documentation and privacy notices.
